In 2010, with four business partners, I founded Halcyon Magazine. With ten print issues, an active website and engaged social media, it became a cult publication, distributed throughout the UK and Europe.
Bored with the offering of men’s magazines at the time, we had a very clear aim with our quarterly. Halcyon was created to offer a credible alternative to crass, low-end ‘lads mags’ and ostentatious, out of touch publications. As Content Editor I’d plan, write and edit features, co-manage social media and website, as well as direct graphic design and photoshoots. A bit of everything, really.
